MONROE - The Monroe Avalanche high school hockey team left Tuesday for the USA High School National tournament in Chicago.
The Avalanche are assured three games at nationals in Division B2, April 14-18. The Avalanche will play Indiana at 10 a.m. today at the AHAI Rink in Bensenville, Ill. Monroe then plays Arizona at 2 p.m. Thursday, and Mid West, which is a team comprised of players from Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa, at 1 p.m. Friday at the Blackhawk Rink.
The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday and the championship is Sunday.
