BELLEVILLE - Argyle sophomore Miken Godfrey tossed a complete game three-hit shutout to propel the Orioles to a 4-0 win over River Ridge Thursday.
Godfrey was dominant striking out 10 to get the win.
Argyle's B.J. Penniston had his team's only hit and he knocked in two runs.
Then, in a five-inning second game, Belleville slugged its way past Argyle 11-7. Argyle sophomore Mason Waage went 2-for-2. The Orioles had four players with multiple hits. Argyle senior Brent Ritschard, sophomore Gavin Johnson and Godfrey were each 2-for-3.
