ORANGEVILLE - The Argyle softball team won two games at the Orangeville tournament Saturday, April 6.
Argyle defeated Alden Hebron 1-0 in five innings and knocked off River Ridge 16-4 in five innings.
Argyle (2-1) broke the game open with a seven-run third inning against Alden Hebron. Argyle junior Jessica Treuthardt went 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Treuthardt pitched a two-hit shutout and struck out five. Argyle senior Kayla Ostby went 2-for-2 with two runs scored.
The Orioles scored 10 runs in the first en route to a win against River Ridge. Ostby went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Jenna Langmeier also scored three runs for the Orioles.
Treuthardt pitched 4 1/3 innings and gave up two earned runs on two hits. She struck out three and didn't issue any walks.
