Argyle girls top Pecatonica in 3

ARGYLE - The Argyle volleyball team defended its home court sweeping Pecatonica in three sets 25-19, 25-14, 25-17 Thursday, Sept. 5.

"Our passing was great," Argyle coach Selby Rideout said. "They just worked together better than they have this year. If we don't have the passing and the positivity we really struggle."

Argyle senior Jessica Treuthardt had a team-high six kills and five aces. Argyle freshman Kayla Butler-Paulson racked up 17 assits and junior Jenna Langmeier had 11 digs. Senior Rachel Saalsaa added five aces.

Pecatonica senior Julia Meyer had two kills and seven digs. Clara Moen had six assists and Britt Miller had six blocks to lead the Vikings.



New Glarus 3, Bellville 0

BELLEVILLE - New Glarus sophomore Maddie Macht had a big match to lead the Glarner Knights to a sweep of rival Belleville 25-19, 25-21, 25-15.

Macht had nine kills and 14 digs to lead the Knights. New Glarus junior Breanne Kreklow racked up 25 assits and senior Sierra Watrud had three aces. With the win, New Glarus improves to 2-5, 1-0 Capitol South.
