ARGYLE - Senior Kylie Johnsen scored a game-high 16 points to help the Orioles roll to a 57-31 win over Albany Thursday.

Argyle (9-5, 6-1 Six Rivers East) raced out to a 21-9 lead in the first quarter ignited by a press.

"We set the tone with a press and we pressured the ball," Argyle coach Kurt Ritschard said. "We had good defensive pressure and rotations. We try to get as much out of the transition game as we can."

Argyle outscored the Comets 15-10 in the second quarter to take a 19-point lead at the half.

Argyle senior Jenna Langmeier scored 13 points and Jozey Thoman added nine points.

Albany junior Marley Malkow scored a team-high 11 points and senior Lyndsay Hoesly added six points.

Argyle remains one game behind No. 1 ranked Barneveld in the conference. Argyle will play Warren Monday and will play at Barneveld Tuesday.

"It's hard to simulate Barneveld's press," Ritschard said. "That's why I bring in some of the guys I played with in high school. We want that opportunity. We want to see what we can do and see if we can be better than the first time we played."
