AREA SOCCER:: Monroe, Sugar River win

PRAIRIE DU SAC - The Monroe girls soccer team upended Sauk Prairie, 2-1, Tuesday night in a Badger Conference crossover game.

Melissa Lehman scored at the nine minute, 30 second mark in the first half, and Kirstie Hinojosa made it 2-0 Monroe in the 24th minute. The Eagles got their only goal in the 59th minute.

Niamh O'Neill-Culhane had five saves for the Cheesemakers. Monroe had 12 shots on goal.

Sugar River 2, Watertown Luther Prep 1

WATERTOWN - The Raiders held on in the second half and topped Watertown Luther Prep on Tuesday.

Roz Judd took a pass from Mackenzie Christensen in the 18th minute to put Sugar River up 1-0. Four minutes later, the score was tied.

Sophomore Hannah Kernen scored one final goal just before halftime in the 38th minute to give the Raiders the last goal they would need.
