Area Boys: Severson won a title at the Deerfield tournament. Severson (26-6) went 4-0 and had four pins. He was one of of two wrestlers to win titles as the Cardinals finished fourth as a team.

Area Girls: The sophomore scored 24 points in a 50-37 win over Monticello in a Six Rivers East Conference game Jan. 28. Kiser has dominated the post in nearly every Six Rivers East game played this season and is averaging 16.8 points per game this season.
