NEW GLARUS - The Village of New Glarus is sponsoring its first Alphornman sprint triathlon on Sunday, Aug. 10.
All of the proceeds will be put toward construction of a new Village Pool Bathhouse, as well.
The event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. to the echoing sounds of the traditional Swiss Alphorns. The quarter-mile swim will be in the Village Pool. The 15-mile bike and 3-mile run will meander through the rolling hills and countryside.
