CASSVILLE - The Albany girls basketball team used a big second half to knock off Cassville 33-17 on Saturday.
Albany (4-13, 0-8 Six Rivers East) led just 16-10 in the first half. However, the second half was a different story as Albany outscored Cassville 17-3.
Albany junior Cassidy Bump scored a game-high 15 points and junior Kirstie Kauk added 11 points. Albany will play at Monticello on Tuesday.
Highland 79, Argyle 62
HIGHLAND - The Orioles lost a shootout on the road on Saturday.
Highland jumped out to an 18-1 first quarter lead and held the Orioles without a field goal.
Highland's Leigh Drury scored a game-high 43 points to lead the Cardinals. Argyle junior Kayla Ostby scored a team-high 16 points. Fellow junior Jessica Treuthardt and senior Cortney Gilberston each scored nine points for the Orioles.
Argyle (5-13, 3-5 Six Rivers East) was coming off a 36-27 win over Monticello. Argyle will play at Juda on Tuesday.
