Shane R. Moen age 47 of Monroe, died Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital following a battle with cancer. Shane was born on January 1, 1972 in Monroe, the son of Robert and Diana (Nolty) Moen. Shane graduated from Monroe High School in 1990 and served on the Monroe and Woodford Fire Departments for many years. He worked at Wisconsin Cheese Group for several years and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his parents; Robert and Diana Moen of Monroe; three sisters and one brother, Barbara (Joey) Timmerman of Monroe, Peggy (Mike) Corbin of Derby, KS, Brandi (Greg) Jelle of Monroe, and Chad Moen (Jesse Stoehr) of Milwaukee; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Myron and Alice Nolty, and Erling and Lenore Moen; an uncle, Myron Nolty Jr.; and a niece, Jocosa Moen.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Pastor Blake Canterbury officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, followed by a luncheon at the Monroe Moose Lodge. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Shane’s name.
