Ruth A. Wyss, age 73, of Monroe, died from natural causes on Friday, November 24, 2023 at her home.  Ruth Ann was born on March 8, 1950 to Mary Ellen (Stall) and Walter Laeser. Ruth had lived in and loved Monroe her entire life. She attended both St. Victor school and church before meeting the love of her life, Richard Wyss, while working at Advance Transformer. Ruth and Rick married on August 3, 1974 at St. Victor Catholic Church in Monroe. Together they shared 49 years of wonderful memories. Ruth was employed at Advance for 34 years before retiring. Ruth enjoyed watching her grandson’s sporting events, collecting antiques, and making (sometimes baking) cookies.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rick; children, Tina (Tony) and Rick (Lucinda); three grandsons who were the light on her life, Quinton, Trey, and Trenton; brother, Joe (Kara) Laeser; and sister, Pat (Butch) Wilcox. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marilyn Sullivan; and in-laws, Audrey and Max Wyss.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 12:00 p.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. A memorial fund will be established in her name. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
