Ronald "Ron" Hanson, passed away at his home in rural Argyle on November 28, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on December 31, 1949, in Monroe, Wisconsin, Ron was a man of the earth, whose hands were rarely still and whose heart was always full.
Ron grew up under the caring wing of his uncle and aunt, Chuck and Joyce Montgomery, who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication. A graduate of Argyle High School in 1968. Following his graduation from High School, Ron enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. When he returned home from his tour overseas Ron met Linda Hermanson. Ron is survived by his children: Jennifer (Mike Zuhlke) Hanson of Brodhead, WI, Jason (Karen Brunton) Hanson of Cuba City, WI, and Dustin Randall of Dallas, GA. Ron's legacy continues through his adored grandchildren: Shawn (Andrea) Hanson, Mikayla (Dylan Hustad) Hanson, Tessa (Mason Lull) Hanson, and Bo Levetzow, as well as his cherished great-grandson, Hunter Hanson. Ron is further survived by his half-brothers, Terry (Joanie) Hagar of Rhinelander, WI, and Ricky Hagar of Hudson, WI; and his sister, Debra (Vernon) Becker of Mondovi, WI and mother-in-law, Doris Hermanson of Monroe He was preceded by his devoted wife, Linda; his father and stepmother, Myron (Arlene) Hanson; his uncle, Chuck Montgomery; and his father-in-law, Floyd Hermanson.

Ron's life was one marked by service and camaraderie. As a proud member of the Argyle American Legion, post 251, and its Honor Guard, he stood in solemn respect for fellow veterans. His faith was nurtured within the walls of the Adams Lutheran Church, where he found strength and community.

Professionally, Ron navigated the highways as an over-the-road truck driver and later channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into owning and operating his own tire disposal business. His tireless work ethic was surpassed only by his selflessness and kindness, traits that defined his character.

Beyond his work, Ron's interests were as grounded and robust as he was. His love for the great outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for deer hunting and cutting wood, and he cherished the times spent camping with his family at Lake Joy every summer. A true Wisconsinite, Ron's passion for tractors, especially John Deere, was undeniable, as he spent many years participating in tractor pull competitions. Even later in life, his eyes would light up at the mere mention of them. His hands, always creating and fixing, found joy in tinkering in the garage and the art of leatherworking.

Ron's final resting place will be alongside his beloved Linda, where they will once again be together, as they were in life. His spirit, carried on through his family and the many lives he touched, will continue to inspire and guide us. Ron Hanson's journey through life was one of purpose, joy, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
