Ronald L. Balsiger, age 72 of Monroe, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Monroe Hospice Home.  He was born the son of Albert and Betty (Hafen) Balsiger on April 20, 1950 in Monroe.  He graduated from Juda High School in 1968.  Ronald married Martha Cline on October 19, 1974 at Apple Grove Lutheran Church in Argyle. 

Ronald was a licensed Cheesemaker for many different places in Green County.  He was also a welder at Kuhn Knight for over 40 years where he retired in 2016.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, gardening, and birds.    

Ron is survived by his wife Marty; daughters, Michele Stewart of Monroe and Andrea Fitzpatrick of Madison; grandson’s, Tyler and Jake Stewart; and brothers, Walter (Rosie) Balsiger of Mauston and Tim (Melody) Balsiger of Rockford.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 12:00 PM at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor John Tabaka officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.   

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
