Roger W. Nybroten, age 82 of Albany, WI passed away at Albany Oaks Assisted Living in Albany on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. He was born in rural Argyle, WI on August 2, 1936 the son of Oscar and Stella (Walden) Nybroten. He attended a one room school for 8 years and graduated from Argyle High School. Due to Roger’s state of mind for over 60 years, he resided at various group homes throughout most of his lifetime.

Roger helped on the family farm until the time of his illness. He was an Elvis fan, Packer fan, and always kept up on local sports. One of his favorite pastimes was writing letters to family, friends, and staff. Roger had a great memory of dates, especially family and friends’ birthdays.

Roger is survived by three sisters: Joyce Isley (Pleasant View Nursing Home), Helen Miller, and Barbara Voegeli all of Monroe; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Arleigh Nybroten; and one sister: Phyllis Seep.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 12:30 P.M. at Adams Lutheran Church (N7148 County Rd A, Argyle) with Rev. Shelley Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 11:30 A.M. until the time of services at the church.
