Roger Allen Hanson, age 75 of Dellwood, WI passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at Gundersen Moundview Hospital in Friendship, WI. He was born June 20, 1946 in Monroe, WI to the late R. Russell and Leona (Smull) Hanson. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1964. Roger enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years (1966-1970) where he became an aircraft mechanic stationed in U.S. and Cam Ran Bay (Vietnam). Upon returning home, he worked as an aircraft mechanic at Rock County Airport, Janesville, WI.

Moving back to Monroe in 1975, he went to work for his father’s heating business. He became co-owner of Hanson’s Heating & Sheet Metal and owned the company for twenty years.

Roger had spent the last twelve years in the Dellwood and Friendship area enjoying fishing, boating and spending time with his family. He was an avid Packer fan and loved to play cards. He enjoyed scratch-off lottery tickets and talking to people about anything and everything.

Roger will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Scott (Krystle)Hanson of Monroe; 3 granddaughters, Mikayla, Miley and Melody Hanson of Monroe; 2 brothers, Keith (Donna) Hanson of Round Rock, TX and Mark (Denise) Hanson of Monroe; 2 nephews, Brandon (Brittany) Hanson of Clarno and Brock Hanson of Monroe; 2 great nieces, Brynn and Briya Hanson of Clarno and cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
