Phyllis B. (Wang) Watkins, age 93 of Monroe, WI formerly of Argyle, WI passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Aster Assisted Living in Monroe. She was born June 8, 1927 in Wiota Township in Lafayette County, WI the daughter of Parks and Bernice (Hanson) Wang. Phyllis lived in the Argyle area her entire life where she graduated from Argyle High School 1945. After graduation, Phyllis attended Madison Vocational College in Madison, WI. When she moved back home from college, Phyllis started her banking career at Commercial and Savings Bank in Monroe and later worked for State Bank of Argyle. Phyllis worked in banking for over 40 years.

Phyllis started dating Kermit N. Watkins after a dance at Turner Hall in Monroe. They were united in marriage on August 18, 1951 at East Wiota Lutheran Church in Wiota Township, Wisconsin. They shared over 64 beautiful years together.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Diane (Randy) Martin and William “Bill” (Lisa) Watkins both of Argyle; her grandchildren: Matthew (Kristina Chapman) Martin, Michelle (Josh) Smith, Rachael (Heath) Catron, and Brandon (Taylor Cipri) Watkins; and her great-grandchildren: Danielle and Payton Martin, Tatum Smith, Clayton Catron and Natalie Chapman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kermit in 2016; one brother: Burnell Wang in 2015; and his wife: Vivian Wang in 2005.

Phyllis was a member of Argyle - Apple Grove Lutheran Church in Argyle and their Women of the ELCA for many years. She was also a proud member of Argyle American Legion Auxiliary and Argyle Kootie Klutch. Phyllis loved watching and feeding the birds, playing Euchre, Chocolate and dessert, and dancing with her husband Kermit. She loved Wisconsin sports, Packers, Badgers, Brewers and Argyle Orioles. Her smile was infectious and could light up any room. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

A private family memorial service will be held with Rev. Daniel L. Bohlman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee St., Argyle).
