Phillip “Skinny” Lean, age 64, of Monticello passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at The Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born the son of Oscar and Dorothy (Eveland) Lean on October 12, 1956 in Monroe. He was a graduate of Monticello High School.
Skinny worked for Electronic Theatre Controls in Mazomanie for many years as a mechanical assembler. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting for artifacts, morel mushrooms, frogs, snapping turtles, and many other items that crossed his path. He also enjoyed watching the Packers, and will be remembered as a great story teller. Skinny was a loving and caring man who was a friend to all those he met.
Skinny is survived by the love of his life, Kelly Lyne; children, Kimberly Sweeney and Nicholas (Kalynn) Sweeney; grandchildren, Matthew Hagen and Andrew Sweeney; sister, Donna MacNaughton; brother, Oscar (Denise) Lean; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ilene Bandi.
A Celebration of Skinny’s Life will be held from 3:00-7:00PM on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Apparitions MC Clubhouse, N6371 Holstein Prairie Rd. Monticello, WI.
