Our dearly beloved mother, Norma Mae Funk, age 91 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on October 21st, 2024 to be with the Lord.  She was born on September 29, 1933 to August and Ella (Baerwolf) Fredrick. 

Norma dearly loved celebrating occasions and visiting with her family and friends. She was a terrific cook, fabulous baker, talented artist, quilter, seamstress, babysitter, CNA care giver, and she gave great hugs.  Above all, Norma had deep faith in the Lord and sacrificially enjoyed serving others.  

Norma is survived by her children; Wanda (Gregory) Bowles, Diane (Andrew) Anderson, Dean (Shirlene) Funk, and Larry Funk; her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law Lois Ehley, Hartford, WI; many wonderful nieces and nephews; lovingly adopted children and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband Merrill; 3 brothers, Elmer, Harold and Edward Fredrick; 5 sisters, Meta Mahnke, Evelyn Radschlag, Betty Hoeft, Velma Vick and Bonnie Wilson; many brother in-laws and sister- in-laws.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff of Pleasant View Nursing Home, nurse practitioner, Sara Smith, home health care specialist, Deb Armitage , SSM Hospice and Newcomer Funeral Home for going above and beyond with wonderful care. 

A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 at Turner Hall, 1217 17th Ave, Monroe, WI.  A time of honoring her will be at 11:00 am and luncheon at 12:30pm.  Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
