Michael E. “Mickey” Hyland, age 85 of Monroe, died on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Community Living Options. Mickey was born on May 20, 1935 in Monroe the son of Michael and Leona (Share) Hyland. He worked for Ken Hall T.V. Service for a number of years and was employed as a custodian at St. Victor Catholic Church for 35 years before retiring in 2001. Mickey was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening, and making scrapbooks for various Wisconsin Badger and Monroe Cheesemaker sports teams.

He is survived by five siblings, Thomas (Barb) of Coon Rapids, MN, Terry (Lindsay) of Monroe, Timothy (Chris) of Lindenhurst, IL, Kathie (Ron) Loy of Monroe, and John (Sharyn) of Middleton; 30 nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Hyland of Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, James (Jean) and Richard Hyland.

A private Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church with Monsignor Larry Bakke officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. A private visitation will be on Thursday at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe.
