Marleah (Prien) Barrett-Booble born February 21, 1931 passed away December 8, 2020. Daughter of Ethel (Haessig) and Loyd Prien was born in Monroe, WI. She attended school in Sylvester Township, graduated from Monroe High School in 1948, attended Madison Business College and the University of Wisconsin. She married Delos W. Barrett, Jr. in 1952. They had four sons; David Delos (Peggy Dye), Paul Loyd (Susan Reese). Mark Daniel (Sherri Treuthardt), and James Donavon (Julie Albright). Grandchildren; Jana (Brian) Mitchell, Jessica (Sean) O’Brien, Jacob (Angel) Barrett, Elizabeth (Ryan) Fitzgerald, John Barrett, Matthew, Michael and Taylor Barrett. Great Grandchildren; Declan O’Brien, Aiden O’Brien and Logan Mitchell.

In 1990 Marleah wed Tom Booble. Marleah was a longtime member of United Methodist Church of Monroe and an Honorary member of Monroe Woman’s Club. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and cherished her time with family. She also loved her Cocker Spaniel Buddy who was her constant and dedicated companion for many years.

Marleah is survived by sons Paul and James; daughter’s-in-law Peggy, Sue, Sherri, Julie; sister-in-law Dolly Prien, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband Tom Booble, parents Ethel and Loyd Prien, sons David Barrett and Dan Barrett and brother Donavon Prien.

As per her wishes there will be a private family ceremony at a later date. The family wishes to thank the loving homecare workers that were at Marleah’s side for many years at home and thank you to the Pleasant View Staff for their support and dedication to all of those in their care. Thank you to the Hospice staff at Monroe Clinic Hospital especially during this trying time and also to Shriner Funeral Home for their compassion in assisting the family.
