Margaret Mary Tschudy, age 93 of Monroe, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Aster Assisted Living. Margaret was born on June 9, 1925 in Monroe, the daughter of Charles and Nora (Hyland) Shea. She attended Monroe High School and married William Tschudy on November 16, 1943 at St. Victor Catholic Church. Margaret and Bill farmed on the Tschudy family farm from 1943 until 1969. She later worked as a sales clerk for many years at Kundert-Loeffel Shoes in Monroe. She was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church, and a former member of the Twin Grove Homemakers and Sugar River Roses China Painting Club. Margaret enjoyed baking, crocheting, sewing, cooking, china painting, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children, Sharon (Larry) Hendrickson, Maureen (Jerry) Blum, both of New Glarus, and Jim (Robin) Tschudy of Monroe; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William, on November 23, 1993; a son, Dan, in 2016; a sister, Helen Dillon, and twin sisters, Eileen Harpst and Irene Shea.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church, with Monsignor Larry Bakke, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe. A memorial fund will be established in Margaret’s name. Condolences may be shared at ww.newcomerfuneralhome.net
