She and Michael had three children of their own and adopted a grandson as well.

Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family and spent many hours playing cards and board games, especially Scrabble. In the last few years, she also became an avid amateur genealogist, searching online for records of her ancestors and the ancestors of her husband, creating a personal family tree with hundreds of entries.

Margaret is survived by her husband Michael of Cottonwood, AZ; her son William of Madison and his close friend Melissa Aro; her son Stephen of Madison and his partner Gwyn Kawski; her daughter Cathy of Sterling, IL and her close friend Ross Weter; her son Michael of Warner Robins, GA and his wife Julia (Rich); her grandchildren Scott, Raven, Damon, and Emily; sisters Linda (Tim) Isely of Monroe; Penny (Warren) Nipple of Atlanta, GA; Dori (Ben) Barrett of Asheville, NC; and brother John Coole of Lacey, WA and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Aluta “Betty” (Hopkins) Coole, her brother James (Andree) Coole, her nephew Jason (Shelley) Coole and her nephew Scott Nipple who held a particularly special place in her heart.

A memorial service is not currently scheduled, but will be planned for later this year in Albany and her loved ones will be notified of the date and place when those things can be determined. In lieu of flowers, her family would ask that you donate to either the American Cancer Association or to Northern Arizona Hospice of Cottonwood, AZ.
