Linda Kempfer-Disch, age 75 passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at UW Hospital in Madison, WI.  She was born on May 22, 1949 in Monroe, WI the daughter of Clifford and Viola (Altman) Kempfer.  Linda first married Gary Jelle and later married Willis Disch Jr. on June 21, 1969.  She had worked in the banking and insurance industries and farmed with her husband Willis for 17 years.  Linda had worked as the business manager for the Town of Madison until retiring due to health issues. 

Linda is survived by her husband Willis Disch, Jr., children Ann (Gary Stapp) Reinhardt, Julie Lee, Tina (Lance) Bidlingmaier, Kelly (Lance) Way, and Travis (Beth) Disch, grandchildren Megan (Zach) Henricks-Hurt, Sydney (Qëndresa) Henricks, Cody Berndt, Nicole (Heath) Hanson, Lane (Martina) Berndt, Ryan Bidlingmaier, Dylan (Mariah) Way, Dalton Way, Gunnyr Disch, and Jenna (Tony) Disch, six great-grandchildren along with two on the way.  She is further survived by her step-father Harry Saxer, siblings Roy (Sue) Kempfer, Kenneth (Sue) Kempfer, Mike (Cherri) Kempfer, Jeff Kempfer, Bryan (Anne Marie) Saxer, Scott (Cindy) Saxer, Belinda Saxer, and Mike Saxer, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law Dennis Lee.

A gathering of relatives and friends will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Ave., New Glarus, WI.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date.
