Kimberly Redford (60) passed away peacefully on August 21st, 2024 with her family lovingly at her side.
Kim dedicated her life to helping others. She worked as a nurse for over thirty years, first in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units at Rockford Memorial and Swedish American Hospitals in Rockford and later in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the University of Wisconsin/American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison.
Her greatest love was for her family. Husband Allen and daughters Meghann (Sheldon) Reddy, Keeley, and son Patrick were deeply blessed by Kim’s loving, nurturing spirit. Her positivity and selflessness radiated through all she did for her family.
She was beloved by her many friends. Kim’s smile brought joy to those around her and her humor and warmth revealed her true gentleness. A love for nature, an appreciation for the beauty around her, and a caring love for pets were all important parts of her life.
Kim was predeceased by her mother Jean, father Tom, and brother Chuck. She is survived by her immediate family, sister Lynn (Bryan) Stovall, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may gather to Celebrate Kim’s Life from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Monroe. A service will be held at noon with Rev. Todd Hackman, and Rev. Tiff Bates, co-officiating. Guests are invited to wear colorful attire. Memorial gifts will be directed to a scholarship in honor of Kim for the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp.
