Judith Lynn Wray, age 71, passed away September 2, 2018 at the New Glarus Home. She was born Judith Lynn Thorsen on April 30, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Raymond and Jane (Taylor) Thorsen. She graduated from high school in Chicago, and also graduated college in Milton, Wisconsin. 

She married Wallace Wray on October 1, 1970 in Dane County. They ran a book store in Janesville and later owned a farm in Argyle. Some years later she moved to Monroe and began an antique business. In 2000, she moved to New Glarus, besides working at Jack Links, she continued selling antiques. Judith and Wallace eventually went their separate ways, and he preceded her in death in 2012.  As she got closer to retirement she moved back to Monroe and worked at Swiss Colony and Kwik Trip.

Judy was a kind-hearted person who always found time to help others and enjoyed being with people. She also loved her bible studies and was a long time member of Grace Church in New Glarus; she later also joined the Monroe Bible Church as well. She had also been a member of the Red Hat Society.

Judy is survived by her many friends, her church families at Grace Church and Monroe Bible Church, the Red Hatters, the “boutique gang”, and several fellow “antiquers”. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Judy’s Life will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Churchill Woods Community Room from 1:30-4:30PM for her friends, church members, and coworkers. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
