Joyce M. Isely, age 89 of rural Argyle, WI passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. She was born February 22, 1932 in South Dakota the daughter of Oscar and Stella (Walden) Nybroten. Joyce grew up in the Argyle area where she graduated from Argyle High School in 1950. On February 14, 1951, Joyce married her best friend, Daryle W. Isely at Adams Lutheran Church in rural Argyle. She and Daryle lived and farmed with their children in Adams Township until 1970 when they moved to rural Argyle.

Joyce is survived by her children: Jeff (Marie) Isely and Greg (Tami) Isely both of Argyle; her grandchildren: Timothy (Dinah) Isely, Christopher Isely, Carolyn (Todd) Scarborough, Gregrey H. (Samantha) Isely, and Brent (Alyssa) Isely; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Helen Miller and Barbara Voegeli both of Monroe, WI; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Daryle on May 4, 2004; one sister: Phyliss Nybroten; and two brothers: Roger Nybroten, Arleigh Nybroten.

Joyce was a member of Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Argyle and a past member of Adams Lutheran Church. While she was a member of Adams, she was active in the women’s group and their quilters. Joyce enjoyed canning the vegetables she proudly grew in her garden. She cherished the time she spent with her family creating memories they will all remember forever.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Cornerstone Lutheran Church (1540 Old Highway 81, Argyle) with Rev. Richard Sliper officiating and Rev. Don Isely co-officiating. Burial will be in Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 9:00 AM- 10:45 AM.
