Joanna Jeanette “JoJo” (Elmer) Ace, age 40 of Monroe passed away on July 3, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Her proud parents welcomed her in the world on June 27, 1978. Joanna grew up on her parent’s farm in Brooklyn, WI. She enjoyed helping out on the farm. She milked cows, she had a horse named lightening, and learned to drive the tractor. “JoJo” was a 1996 graduate of Albany High School. During her time there she made many lifelong friends.

Joanna was united in Marriage to Andrew Ace on August 29th, 1998. This union blessed them with a Handsome son, Michael. They divorced in 2002. Years later she met Ryan Berg and they had a beautiful son, Ethon Berg. Her boys were the loves of her life. She then met and dedicated her heart to her current partner Erin Tollefson. 

Joanna will be remembered for her zest for life. she was always a great listener and willing to lend a shoulder to someone in need. she was known for her vibrant personality. “JoJo” made new friends wherever she went. She worked at SK Plastic and spoke fondly of her co-workers. She enjoyed camp fires, tubing on the Sugar River, and spending time with friends and family. 

She is survived by her loving parents David and Susan (Weeden) Elmer of Brooklyn, 2 handsome sons, Michael Ace and Ethon Berg, Doting partner Erin Tollefson of Monroe, many cousins and close friends, and Max, her cat.

Joanna was proceeded in death by her Grandparents Alvin and Helen Elmer, Bob and Louise Weeden, Uncle Rick Weeden, Uncle Bobby Weeden, and Uncle Ronnie Weeden. 

A special thank you to Grace Funeral Home & Crematory of Albany Wisconsin for handling arrangements. In addition, we would like to thank a few people dearest to her. Kari Gray, and Kayla Karine for all of her love and support during Joanna’s treatments. Erin Tollefson and Valery Jessie for remaining by her side during her last days and keeping her comfortable. 

Joanna requested a Celebration of Life vs. a Funeral. This will take place at the Depot in Monroe, WI on 7/7/2018 at 2 p.m.
