Joann M. Dearth, age 78, died Monday, June 24, 2019 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on April 9, 1941 in Monroe, the daughter of John and Lenza (Swartz) Lehr. She was a graduate of Monticello High School. Joann was united in marriage to Frederick Dearth in 1981; he preceded her in death in 1995.

Joann worked at Swiss Colony in customer service for many years. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Women of the Moose in Monroe, VFW Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed softball, golfing, and her weekly Bowling League. She especially enjoyed spending time at her lake home on Crystal Lake in Lodi.

She is survived by her daughters, Wendy (Randy) Sager of Rock City, IL and Robyn (Steve) Goecks of Juda; 3 grandchildren, Jeremy Wand, Jessica (Ryan) Cahill and Jamie (Josh) Riese; 6 great-grandchildren, Haley and Isabelle Wand, Danika and Kellen Cahill, and Kaden and Jaxton Riese; brother, Richard (Jonnie) Lehr; and sister-in-law, Carla Lehr; and her cat, Tanner “Fluffball”.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Tracy Broge in 2012; sister, Judith Lehr in 1960; and brother, Duane Lehr in 2018.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, July 1, 2019 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral home with Reverend Kathleen Rinear officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 9:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
