James J. Hendrickson, age 63, of Monroe, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, January 14, 2023 in his home. He was born on December 21, 1959 in Monroe, the son of James and Gloria (Hanson) Hendrickson. Jim graduated from Monroe High School and worked at Industrial Combustion for many years until his retirement. However, his occupations did not define him. Jim lived with a childlike wonder for the world, and had an uncanny ability to find pure joy in life’s simplest moments; a skill that he shared with his beloved nephews Nicklas and Zachary through free creative expression throughout their formative years and beyond. He also adored his K9 companions Steve and Frankie, and whether inside or out, you could always find them by his side, enjoying his company as much as he enjoyed theirs. He had a passion for Motorsports of all sizes, from MotoGP to RC Car racing. His impressive knowledge and strong opinions on the subjects never ceased to spark engaging conversations amongst hobbyists and enthusiasts alike. His loyalty and love for his family and friends ran deep. A bright, kind, and generous soul; He will be deeply missed by those he knew, and his surviving family.

He is survived by his brothers: Gary (Jennifer) Hendrickson and Greg (Mary Jo) Hendrickson; nieces and nephews: Rachelle Hendrickson and her children, Logan and Jaden Lindsey: Kirsten (Brendan) Van Asten and their children Jack and Ivy Van Asten; Derek (Kaitlyn) Hendrickson and their children, Walter and Robert Hendrickson; Nicklas and Zachary Hendrickson. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gloria.
