James A. “Jim” Ausmus

James A. “Jim” Ausmus, age 65 of Monroe, died Monday, September 27, 2021 at his home. Jim was born on January 19, 1956 in Monroe, the son of Arley A. and Thelma (Fritsch) Ausmus. He was a 1974 graduate of Monroe High School and farmed on the Ausmus home farm in Clarno Township all of his life. Jim was a member of East Clarno Zion United Methodist Church and enjoyed collecting farm toys and old tractors. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Jim is survived by two sisters, Jeanne Ausmus of Monroe, Barbara (Mike) Lowe of Stoughton; nieces and nephews, Alan (Jessica), Carolynn (Tim), Melissa (Jerry), Rebecca (Neill), Nicholas (Missy); and great nieces and nephews, Arly, Jonah, Jack, Katelynn, Evan, Raina, Khammi.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in East Clarno Church Cemetery. A memorial fund will be established in Jim’s name for the East Clarno Church. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net.
