Our loving Mother and Friend, Irene (Sommers) Rosa Figi passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, June 17, 2021, beside her daughter and son-in-law in Colleyville, TX. She was 99 years old!

She was born Irena Sommers on March 11, 1922 in the Polish village of Sulatyci, in what is today, Belarus. Her family came to America from Poland in 1922, when Irene was 6 months old.

They farmed in Juda, WI. before moving to Monroe.

Irene graduated from Monroe High School in 1939 and attended Green Country College Normal School and worked in Rockford, Ill., she returned to marry her high school sweetheart, Fredric Carl Rosa on June 20, 1940. Fritz's parents owned the Rosa Greenhouse on the north side of Monroe in the early 1920's, they both worked in the family business for decades.

Irene and Fritz were well known in Monroe for their Rosa Greenhouse and Garden Center.

Irene has three children, Fredric David Rosa (Melanie), Steve Alan Rosa, and Sandra Irene Rosa Perry (Don). Grandchildren, Staci Barchu, Shana Alford, Sommers Rosa, Mark Rosa, and Katherine Reams. She is survived by 8 great grandchildren.

Irene was preceded in death by her two husbands Fritz Rosa and Chum Figi, parents, sisters, and a great grandson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm at St. John's Church of Christ, 1724 14th St, Monroe, WI 53566.

Our precious Mother will be remembered for her radiant smile that would lighten up the room, her continued energy, positive attitude, generosity, love of Jesus, and an amazing deep love for her three children, and grand kids.
