Hailey Jo Betthauser, age 19, of Monroe, died Sunday September 27, 2020 at her home, after a 9-month battle following a ruptured AVM. She was born on August 9, 2001 in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of Bryan and Nichole (Shippy) Betthauser. She graduated from Monroe High School in 2019. Hailey was attending MATC in Madison in the Nursing program and was currently working as a hostess at North and South Seafood and Smokehouse in Deforest. She was an avid softball player, she also enjoyed playing volleyball; her hobbies included online shopping, and being an aunt to her niece, Ella and her nephew, Lucas.

She is survived by her mother, Nichole Betthauser of Monroe, sister, Hannah (Justin Blum) Betthauser and their two children, Ella and Lucas; boyfriend, Kaden King; maternal grandparents, Joe Shippy and Laura (Tony Celletti) Hartney; paternal grandparents, Greg and Carol Betthauser; great-grandparents: Karen (Karl Scheider) Shippy, Bev Lindenman, and Ione Fish; aunts and uncles, Zach and Kerstan Shippy and Brooks (Sherry) Betthauser; as well as several cousins, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bryan and great-grandparents, Earl Lindenman, Don Fish, Jerome Shippy, and Allen and Arlene Betthauser.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 3, 2020 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Pastor Dan Krahenbuhl officiating. A visitation will be held Friday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund is being established in Hailey’s name.
