Emily Helen Green (Kalinowski), 34, of Stockton, IL passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 20, 2024. She was born on January 12, 1990, in Madison, WI to Amy M. Smith and Kenneth G. Kalinowski. Emily is survived by her parents, her siblings Shanna McCubbin (Joel), Clint Kalinowski (Charity), Malissa Pamenter (Scott), and Benjamin Kalinowski (Chelsey); her husband Christopher Green, and her three sons, Xavier Pote, Daxter Meier and Calix Green. 

Emily's greatest joy was her three sons.  She relished the adventures they'd share on camping and hiking trips, swimming, telling ghost stories and making smores around the campfire. 

One of Emily's greatest passions outside of her family was her love of attending rock concerts, a joy she shared with her father Ken. They camped at RockFest together for several years, and you could always find her dancing and singing right up front! She met many members of her favorite bands and has an impressive collection of t shirts, drumsticks and set lists from those shows.

Another of Emily's passions was her love of Star Wars, which she shared with her mother Amy. Emily's favorite character was Ahsoka Tano.  Emily and Amy enjoyed traveling together to Star Wars Celebration Conventions, where they met many members of the cast and crew of the Star Wars saga. Emily's Star Wars collection is something to behold, and to honor that Fandom Emily's family will be wearing Star Wars shirts at her visitation.

Emily's love of life and family along with her warm and generous nature will be so deeply missed by those who loved her. 

Please join us in celebrating Emily at her visitation at Leamon's Funeral Home in Lena, IL on Thursday May 30, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 pm and her funeral, at St John's Lutheran Church in Lena, IL on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 10:30 am.
