Dorothy E. Amans age 92, died Saturday June 6, 2020 at the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home. She was born on February 7, 1928 in Cumberland, WI, the daughter of Edward and Marie (Christianson) Knutson.

She married Harry C. Amans on March 20, 1976. Dorothy was co-owner of the Gasthaus Motel for about 20 years. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, she was a member of the Women of the Moose for 50 years; she enjoyed playing cards, traveling and cooking. She had a love for family and enjoyed spending time with all of them, including her dog, Avalon.

She is survived by her children: Janice Remus, Charles Remus both of Monroe, and Roger (Cindy) Remus of Verona; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 sisters, and 4 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 12, 2020 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Reverend Todd Hackman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service, at the funeral home.
