Doris M. Aebly, age 92, died Friday, July 5, 2019 at New Glarus Nursing Home. She was born on May 2, 1927 in Postville, WI; the daughter of Conrad and Rosina (Duerst) Elmer Jr. She attended Postville and Purcell rural schools in Green County. Doris married Casper Aebly on June 29, 1949 in Monroe. She worked as the Bookkeeper in the family business for 34 years, Cap Aebly Garage. Doris enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her son, Gary (Valerie) Aebly of Monroe; Grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer Johnson) Aebly of Monroe and Brandi (Jon) Eyler of Monticello; 4great grandchildren: Trevor and Tanner Aebly, Katelyn  Eyler, and Brenna Aebly; brother, Sylvan (Dorothy) Elmer of Spring Green; sisters, Charlotte Tresner of Monroe and Carolyn (David) Pederson of Sauk City; son-in-law, Al Schwartz of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Cheryl Schwartz; son, Ronnie Aebly; 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Private services will be held at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
