Doris Elaine Kampfer, age 84, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Monroe Health Services. She was born May 24, 1935 the daughter of Joshua and Ethel (Helmeid) Weston. She was united in marriage to Hans R. Kampfer on November 10, 1952 in Argyle, WI.

She was a member of Monroe Bible Church. Doris worked for Swiss Colony for over 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and sewing for many people. Doris and Hans shared many wonderful years together, they especially enjoyed traveling, and spending many hours flying together in airplanes Hans had built himself. She also loved going on day trips with her friends and occasionally overnight ones as well; and getting together for lunch with people to share memories.

Doris is survived by her nieces and nephews, Roxanne (Randy) Bollig of Blue Mounds, WI, Roger Thompson, Steve (Anik Suprapti) Nybroten of White Salmon, WA, Connie (Dennis) Dregne of Janseville, Cindy (Steve) Vogel of Monroe, Robert (Cindy Maurray) Stoehr of Fort Myers, FL, Anita (Rodney Weeden) Stoehr of Monticello, Elaine (Tracy) Smith of Argyle, Jeannie (Jay) Leopold of Argyle and James Kampfer, Jr. of Barneveld; and sisters-in-law, Rosemary (Clarence) Schmidt of Glencoe, MN, Maggie (Robert) Stoehr of Monticello and Ruth (John) Wells of Monticello.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hans; sister, Ruth Thompson; and niece, Brenda Pagel.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 19, 2019 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Elder Mike Westcomb officiating. Burial will follow service in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
