Deanna Ritschard, 56, of La Crosse, WI formerly of Argyle, WI passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at Pigeon Falls Health Care Facility in Pigeon Falls, WI after a long battle with ALS and Alzheimers. She was born August 4, 1964 in Springfield, MO the daughter of Dean and Virginia (Neil) Johnson.

She is survived by her long-time companion: Jean Hengstl of La Crosse; two sons: Bryan (Janelle) Ritschard of Argyle, WI and Tyler (Amber) Ritschard of Argyle, WI; five grandchildren: Paisley, Landon, Reyn, Cooper, and Avery; two sisters: Denise (Denny) Hendrickson and Debbie McNicol, step-mother: Clara Hawthorne, step-sister Diana Gutzmer; along with 9 nieces and nephews and many loved ones from the Johnson and Neil families.

Deanna is preceded in death by her parents: Dean and Virginia Johnson; grandparents: Minnie and Jessie Johnson and Irene and John Neil; and infant sister: Darci Leigh Johnson.

Deanna’s pride and joy were her two sons, her dogs and later, the families her sons began to raise. She was overjoyed with the announcements of each of her grandchildren. Her love of attending craft fairs, interior and landscape decorating, watching the Packers, Badgers, and Bucks were all hobbies Deanna enjoyed with Jean by her side. A strong-willed woman with an ability to motivate and lead with a passionate voice, big heart and even more passionate hugs will forever hold a spot in the hearts of people she knew and loved.

A visitation will be held at Yellowstone Lutheran Church in Argyle Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 9:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. with a private family graveside service at 11:45 A.M. officiated by Pastor Dan Bohlman.
