David E. Lowe, age 79 of Gratiot, WI passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his home in Gratiot. He was born April 7, 1942 in Shullsburg, WI the son of Lloyd and Elizabeth (Steele) Lowe. David lived in the Gratiot area his entire life and graduated from Gratiot High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Marjorie Knouse on December 18, 1960 at Gratiot United Methodist Church. David enjoyed the time he spent driving bus for the Blackhawk school district for 22 years, watching many children learn and grow up.

Dave is survived by his wife Marge of 60 years; three sons: Kevin Lowe of Browntown, WI, Kenneth (Carolyn Clerkin) Lowe of Mt. Horeb, WI, and Keith (Cindy) Lowe of Mason City, IA; his grandchildren: Joshua Lowe, SPC Sean Lowe, Airman Austin Lowe, Aaron Lowe, Marina (Lowe) Roberts, and Breanna Lowe; and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Beverly Lowe Murphy Engelhardt; two granddaughters: Courtney & Kaylee Lowe; and brothers-in-law: Leo Murphy, Allan Engelhardt, PFC. David Knouse, and Donald Knouse.

Dave was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg and spent time on the Black Hawk School Board in South Wayne, Wi. He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dave had a special talent for woodworking and was known for baking one of the best sour dough breads around. He cherished the time he spent with his family creating memories they will all remember forever.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Centenary United Methodist Church (226 W. Church St., Shullsburg) with Rev. Stanton Bockwoldt officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg. A visitation will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg.
