Constance D. “Connie” Conway, age 83, of Monroe, died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 31, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 25, 1940 in Norwalk, Wisconsin to Ervin and Lillian Sonnenburg. She attended Juda schools. Connie was united in marriage to Jerry Conway on February 15, 1958 in Juda. She was employed by Dorman Cheese, Con Agra, and Wisconsin Cheese Group for 44 years until her retirement.

Connie and Jerry enjoyed camping with friends for over 20 years, socializing with their card club, and traveling throughout the United States, Canada, and Ireland. Their favorite destinations were the World’s Fair, Space Needle, Rose Bowl, and Alaska. She loved spending time with her children and their families. She had many interests including cheering on the Packers and Badgers, and watching NASCAR with Jerry. Connie was an avid gardener and every year had a beautiful flower garden in her back yard. She enjoyed going to sporting events, school events, babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending their dance and piano recitals.

She is survived by three children, Tammy (Marco) Bregenzer, Jeff “Twitty” (Diane) Conway, Brenda (Lonnie) Grinnell; grandchildren, Chris (Amber) Zimmerman, Tasha Grinnell, Liz (Ben) Williamson, Eric Bregenzer, Meghan (Brent) Schramer, Courtney (Jason) Jeremiason, Mitchell (Nora) Daubert; great grandchildren, Cameron, Piper, Brayden, Jaydalynn, McKayla, Bryant; Step-great grandchildren, Aleda, Henry, Arthur, Kinlee, Clovie, Ivorie, Roy; Sisters, Karen (Paul) Hodgson, Andrea (Dennis) Tamminga; brothers, Butch Sonnenburg, Rick Sonnenburg; and brother-in-law, Bill Kalschuer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry, on September 29, 2021; in-laws, Vincent and Nellie Conway; sister, Vicki Kalscheur; sisters-in-law, Jan Sonnenburg, Lucy Keegan, Ellen McMurray; and brothers-in-law, Robert Wodill and Nathan Keegan.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, followed by a luncheon at the Monroe Moose Lodge. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, April 4, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
