Cheryl L. Gerber, age 64 of Orfordville, formerly of Monroe, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at The Next Inning in Orfordville. She was born on March 5, 1956 in Monroe, the daughter of Dean and Arlenne (Miller) Parker. She graduated from Albany High School in 1974. Cheryl married Wayne F. Gerber on August 1, 1981 in Monroe. She worked as a C.N.A. at Pleasant View Nursing Home and later worked as a Customer Rep for Lands End in Cross Plains. Cheryl was a girl scout leader, Troop #235 in Monroe for many years. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Steven Gerber, Ardeana Wallgren, and Bobbi Jo (John Bircher) Gerber, all of Monroe; 8 grandchildren; friend, Wayne Gerber; siblings: Dennis (Mary Ellen) Parker of Albany, Nancy (Wayne) Dengler of Eldridge, Iowa, Milo (Debbie) Parker of New Glarus, Tony (Barb) Parker of Janesville, Bonnie (Louis) Field of Juda, and Lori (Joe) Alberstett of Rock City, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Glenn Parker; son-in-law, Joshua Wallgren; mother and father-in-law, Kathryn and Robert Gerber.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany at a later date. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
