Carol Ann Schultz age 74, of South Wayne, WI passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 2, 2020 at the Pleasant View Nursing Home. Carol Ann was the name chosen by Glenn and Elizabeth (Vogel) Siegenthaler for their daughter born on June 24, 1945 in Monroe, WI. Carol was raised with her eleven siblings on a farm outside of Monticello. After graduating from Monticello High School, Carol entered cosmetology school and was a hairdresser until she married Louis Schultz on April 9, 1967 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Warren, IL, where they remained members. Carol farmed alongside her husband in Wayne Township. They raised 6 children and shared 53 happy years of marriage. Among many interests, Carol enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking (especially pies), and all-day lunch with friends. She cherished time spent with her family including outings with her sisters and any activity with her children and grandchildren. Every moment was special. Carol was a kind and generous spirit, often helping family members, friends, and neighbors in times of need.
She is survived by her husband Louis of South Wayne, WI, children: Teresa (David) Hendrickson of Barneveld, WI; Heidi (Tom Patrow) Schultz of Belleville, WI; Brian (Jill) Schultz of South Wayne, WI; Kristi (Thomas) Poskus of Chicago, IL; and Lori (John Angle) Schultz of Milwaukee, WI. Twelve grandchildren: Alana, Audrey and Damon Hendrickon; Grace, Claire, Ava and Isaac Patrow; Lauren, Erika, Lilly and Mason Schultz; and Cory Schultz-Lincicum (Angel Bennett). Two great grandchildren: Aliegha and Caiden Schultz-Lincicum. Siblings: Mary Baker, Leroy Siegenthaler, Linda (Dennis) Thoman, Glenda Thoman, Ralph Siegenthaler, Kathleen (Mitchell) Lindgren, Evelyn Thoman (Brad Voeglei), Lyle (Kathleen) Siegenthaler, Christine (Tom) Wenger, Elaine (Tim) Maney and Duane (Brenda) Siegenthaler. And many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Darci Schultz.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a private family funeral service. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery with Vicar Michelle Knight officiating.
