Candace Jean Walker, age 75, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.  She was born on February 24, 1948 the daughter of Roger and Jean (Corson) Wuthrich.  She graduated from Monroe High School and then went on to attend UW Oshkosh.  Candace married Ronald Cail on October 29, 2018 in Monroe.

Candace was a realtor with Amacher Realty for many years.  She was a hardworking mother who took pride in caring for her family.  Candace enjoyed going to concerts and nice dinners with Ron.  They also enjoyed going to events together at the Behring Senior Center.  The last few years she was a devoted caretaker for her husband, Ron.  

Candace is survived by her husband, Ron and his family; daughter, Tashona (Josh Mittness) Smith; grandchildren, Wil Smith, Rylan Smith, Violet Smith, and a grandson due in March; son-in-law, Benjamin Smith; sister, Hollie (Dennis) Pickett; niece, Amanda Field; and nephew, Dennis (Misty) Pickett.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 12:00 PM Noon at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home.  A private family burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Candace’s name to support the Monroe Theatre Guild.
