MOUNT HOREB - Audrey Jane Way, age 93, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Ingleside Manor. She was born on June 28, 1928, in Monroe, Wis., the daughter of Lee and Elsie (Kundert) Babler.

Audrey graduated from Monroe High School in 1946. She married Noel Way on Feb. 16, in 1949. Audrey worked as a bookkeeper for Gerber Farm Service for 25 years, retiring in 1994. She was very technologically savvy and utilized many new systems in the workplace.

Audrey enjoyed golfing, square dancing, flower gardening and flower arranging. She also enjoyed working as a teaching assistant where she was able to share her love of reading, with the children she helped to learn to read. She loved traveling abroad and was a snowbird in Texas during the winter. She was proud to be a Democrat.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Katherine (Dave) Ford; sons, Jim Lee (Cindy) Way and Jeff (Noreen) Way; seven grandchildren, Jacob Beardsley, Nathaniel (Katie MacDonald) Beardsley, Joe Way, Jordan Arnes, Courtney Way, Morgan Way and Abby Way; and niece, Andrea Ubl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel; parents; Elsie and Lee; and sister, Jean Ubl.

A memorial service will be held at NEW HOPE EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 639 S. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
