Ann Henningsen, age 51, of Monroe passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on February 21, 1969 in Monroe, the daughter of Jerry and Hope (Crosby) Starr.

She was a 1987 graduate of Monroe High School, she earned her CNA degree her senior year of High School, she also earned a degree at Blackhawk Technical College in Accounting. Ann was united in marriage to Kenneth Henningsen on June 17, 2000 in Monroe.

Ann was employed at Klondike Cheese in accounts receivable for many years until she retired to be able to take care of her mom, Hope; until her mom was able to move to Assisted Living. Ann and Ken later started K&A Hennigsen Trucking LLC where Ann was the bookkeeper. Ann was a true caretaker and always looked out for others.

She enjoyed riding motorcycles, craft shopping and going out to eat. Her biggest joy was spending time with her grandson, Landon, he was the apple of her eye and they both enjoyed precious times going to the zoo. She also had a special bond with her aunt and uncle, Bob and Sandy Hermanson.

Ann is survived by her husband, Ken; mother, Hope Starr; children, Jessica (Todd) Noble and T.J. Wright; grandson, Landon Noble; brother, Brian (Lou Ellen) Starr; and sister, Karen (Phil) Brooks.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Starr, maternal grandmother, Josephine Stoetzel, paternal grandparents, Stanley and Hazel Starr; uncle, Bill Crosby, and brother-in-law, Shawn Henningsen.

Due to current restrictions, a Celebration of Ann’s Life will be held at a later date. A private burial will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
