Adam S. Taylor

Adam S. Taylor, beloved husband, father, son, friend and craftsman, passed away on December 11, 2024, in Calabash, NC, at the age of 55. Born on January 2, 1969, in Monroe, WI, Adam’s life was a testament to dedication and passion, both in his work and personal interests.

A master carpenter renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and skill in trim work, Adam most recently lent his talents to HoneyDo Handyman OIB. His love for woodworking was not only a career but a lifelong passion. His home was adorned with his creations, from built-in cabinets to a swing set crafted lovingly for his son, Daniel. His crowning achievement was a breathtaking spiral staircase he constructed in Stafford, VA, a project he fondly documented through photographs.

Adam was also deeply passionate about NASCAR, cheering fervently for Dale Earnhardt, and maintained a playful love-hate relationship with the Washington Redskins. He enjoyed spending quality time with his son playing corn-hole and exploring the outdoors on four-wheelers. As a member of the Moose Lodge, Adam cherished the camaraderie and friendships he built there.

In 2021, Adam moved from Ladysmith, VA, to Little River, SC, to help care for his mother, Janice Taylor, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kimberly, and his cherished son, Daniel, both of Little River, SC. He also leaves behind his father, Stuart Taylor, of Little River; his maternal grandmother, Mabel Lehr, of Monroe, WI; his fraternal grandparents, Beatrice and Rodger Loving, of Spotsylvania, VA; and his sister, Laura Berry, her husband Kevin, and their children, Ashley and Nicholas, of Clayton, NC.

A celebration of Adam’s life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 1 pm at the home he shared with Kimberly and Daniel. Adam will be remembered for his craftsmanship, his love for his family, and the joy he found in his hobbies. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund to help the family has been established. Arrangements in the care of Coastal Cremations of Carolina Shores.
