Organized in 2002, the Driftless Area Artists group was created by visual artists in Green County looking for a way to connect with one another to discuss and encourage art in our area. Their name is inspired by the driftless glacial areas of Southern Wisconsin and their beautiful landscape settings. DAA welcomes new members and continually looks for innovative ways to expand and support the visual art opportunities in Green County and the surrounding area. The group meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at the Monroe Arts Center.
An opening reception is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 in Frehner Gallery. A brief artist gallery talk will begin at 5:30 p.m. This exhibit and opening reception is free and open to the public.
The exhibit has been made possible by MAC Corporate Underwriter: Colony Brands, Inc., and Season Media Underwriters Monroe Publishing, LLC and Big Radio, with additional support from Michael and Shelley Muranyi, Kevin and Chris Callahan, Lee and Chris Knuteson, and an anonymous donor.
