Work to continue from 8th Ave. to 10th Ave.

During the week of March 21, Dane County Contracting installed about 300 feet of 8-inch water line along the south side of 8th Avenue to the bridge. The new main has been filled to begin the disinfection process and to perform the pressure test of the new main prior to making final connections to the water system. They have also completed the installation of 140 feet of sanitary sewer service in this section of 8th Street.

Once a clear water sample comes back next week, Dane County Contracting will make the final connnections of the new water main and water services to the existing water system. They will also complete the installation of 40 feet of sanitary sewer main along 8th Street at 8th Avenue. Once this section of work is complete by mid-week, they will move the water main installation operation to 10th Avenue and 8th Street to complete the installation of a new main crossing 8th Street by the Highlander Mall.
