MONROE — A Monroe woman under arrest for alleged drunken driving southwest of Brodhead also faces a felony charge of threatening to kill a law enforcement officer early Sunday, Jan. 19.

The incident started with a 911 hangup call at 12:05 a.m. from the W2000 block of Wisconsin 11, Town of Spring Grove, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded and located a crashed vehicle off the road. They determined Jacquilyn H. Rowley, 26, Monroe, was westbound when she lost control and her vehicle entered the north shoulder. It then went down a steep embankment and became stuck in the ditch.

Rowley and her adult male passenger both reported seatbelt usage and no injuries.

Rowley was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol and taken to the Monroe Clinic ER for a legal blood draw.

“While at the Emergency Room, Rowley caused a disturbance and threatened to kill a law enforcement officer,” Sgt. Allen Peters reported.

In addition to the felony charge of threatening a law enforcement officer, she faces misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer and a citation for failure to keep a vehicle under control. She was jailed pending court.

Her vehicle had minor front-end damage and was left on scene. Monroe police assisted deputies with the incident.
