Wisconsin quilt show to be held online
news brief community

WISCONSIN — With hundreds of quilts on display, The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show has always been the ultimate adventure for quilt enthusiasts of all skill levels. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 16th annual Great Wisconsin Quilt Show will be an online-exclusive, virtual experience Sept. 10-12 at QuiltShow.com.

Registration is open for the three-day event, presented by PBS Wisconsin and Nancy Zieman Productions. All quilt lovers are invited to learn, laugh and draw inspiration from each other in this online and interactive event. Online educational sessions, led by expert quilters, present the latest in creations and techniques.

The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show’s main attraction is the 10-category quilt contest exhibit. Featured quilts range from traditional sizes and shapes to work by young quilters and innovative pictorial quilts. Virtual attendees will be treated to an interactive, 3-D gallery.

The virtual Great Wisconsin Quilt Show will include shopping opportunities from trusted vendors, featuring fabrics and notions; and an online community service project, Quilt to Give, in which attendees donate their materials and skills to create bed-size quilts for those in need.

Participants can be part of the exclusive online premiere of the all-new documentary, Nancy Zieman: Extraordinary Grace, coming to PBS Wisconsin in late 2020.
