MONROE - A portion of Wisconsin 69 has been closed because of an accident north of New Glarus, the Green County Sheriff's Department reported at approximately 4:20 p.m. Monday.
The closed area extends from north of the village of New Glarus to just south of the Green County line, according to the sheriff's department
The department described the accident as "severe." Further details of the crash are yet unknown.
Travelers are advised to seek alternate routes until the road is reopened. County CC and County W allow drivers to bypass the closed area.
